Are you a new blogger looking for help when it comes to picking a website theme?
I was.
And after hours of searching the web reading blog posts and articles trying to make sense of what is a parent theme, what is a child theme, how to download and customize, and on and on, my head was spinning.
All the articles say building a website is simple.
“Set up your blog in 15-minutes or less!” They proclaim.
True. Setting up the website itself isn’t super complicated provided you follow the steps, but learning about hosting and purchasing domain names, etc. are all simple if you already know the jargon. But I didn’t know the jargon and needed to do my research.
After many late nights of reading about websites I purchased a site and tried to work with it for hours. I ended up getting so frustrated and actually returning my account for a refund. That’s when I switched to WordPress and haven’t looked back.
Once using WordPress I purchased a theme and then decided it wasn’t right for me.
Cue more frustration and despair that this was much harder than I had anticipated.
It was such a relief to stumble upon Coded Creative.
